I have recently relocated to a new city, Boston, to start a Masters program.
Until I get settled down, I won’t be able to setup my gear or make any more pedals.
By early 2012 I should be back in business, unless the world decides to end.. =)

Made it safely back to the states!
Red Baron should be coming into the lineup soon.
I’ll be making a batch of 20.. they will most likely go very fast as there are already several orders in.

The Red Baron Overdrive is now at its final breadboarding/testing stage!!
More information will be available in the following weeks.. but i can say right now, if everything goes as planned (it rarely does) there will be a working prototype within a month!

Meanwhile, more Goose Fuzz pedals are on their way,
Flying V pcbs should arrive in the mail any day now,
and video demos for the Flying V and Chief Goose are being filmed by a friend in Germany.

Delay Anyone?

sitting at home with a crippled leg leaves you with a lot of time to tinker.
i managed to slap together an analog delay, mostly with parts from an age old SAD-1 i had lying around.
Now, i’m tempted to start pumping these out.

Good News and Bad News

Bad news first,
i sprained my ACL while playing basketball. While it does hurt like crazy, over the past week, i was able to experience the drastic differences between Western and Eastern medicine.
My first stop was Kaiser Hospital. after hours or waiting and examination at the hospital, and multiple xrays, they prescribed me advil, and referred me to a ‘specialist’.
The next day, i went to an acupuncturist. after 5 minutes of examination, a lady stuck ~20 needles in me, stabbed me and sucked blood out of my swollen knee.
I don’t know what to think about either procedure.. but at least the acupuncturist left me feeling somewhat ‘treated’. Hopefully i’ll be off my crutches soon.

Now the good news.
The Flying V is tested and finished.
It will be a 4-channel mixer pedal.
basically, you can have up to 4 completely independent signal chains, with controllable volume, and a stomp switch to turn each channel on/off.
This means, instead of having to cascade effects, you can run them in parallel!
For example: you can send the ‘dry out’ on a delay pedal through selected pedals, and the ‘echoes’ you can send through a different chain of pedals, combine them at the end using the Flying V.. and sound like a boss.
